I had a chronic gum problems that lasted for years. I also needed to do some Invisalign work on my teeth. After consulting with various cosmetic dentists in the area, Dr. Hawary honestly seemed to be the best one for the job.. The other dentists gave me some ridiculous quotes and some even charged me for consultation after I told them that I was not gonna do the job with them. Totally unprofessional. Calsmiledesign though is a great practice, clean, up to date technology, great area, easy to find. He also is very kind and very knowledgeable. Now after the work is done, my teeth look so great I love them. I even feel like I should go on some auditions for some kind of tooth paste commercials :). That's how much I love my smile..

Dr. Hawary is the best dentist I have ever been to. I am so grateful to him. He didn't only change my smile but he boosted my self confidence and helped me to smile again. When I first started looking for a dentist to do my invisalign I was only comparing prices. By chance, 2 of my good friends had just finished their invisalign treatments at different offices, and I noticed that the results are very different. More or less both got their teeth straightened, but 1 looked prettier than the other.

The odd part is that she was the one with worst teeth to start with. I was very curious to understand this more, and I asked each of them about the process they went through.

My friend who had her invisalign done by Dr. Hawary said that he designed a smile for her, and planned the invisalign case with such smile in mind, so his goal was not just straight teeth but also better looking smile.

That is why her results came out so different. Obviously, I decided to check him out. I had a very thorough consultation with him and I did like the fact that he wanted to know what were my goals and expectations from this treatment, and he gave me his professional opinion of what is realistic and what is not.
Like he did with my friend, he diligently designed a smile for me that is very pleasing, and based the invisalign treatment on this design. I'm about half way done with my trays. I can already see a big change in my teeth, and in my smile. I can't wait to be done. I'll sure post my review then, but I think I'll be very happy.

I have been avoiding the dentist for quiet some time. In the past I have been unlucky with my dentists, I have had some negative childhood experiences and I never fully recovered from them.

Several of my coworkers suggested Dr, Hawary for me to go to. I called and spoke to the receptionist and expressed how nervous I was and wanted to know what I should expect for my first appointment with Dr. Hawary.

She said that my first appointment would be my initial exam and x-rays with Dr. Hawary. He would do a complete evaluation of my mouth and go over any questions and concerns that I might have. She then scheduled me for a second visit for my cleaning. I made both appointments and she gave me directions.

I arrived at California Smile Design and I was amazed at how warm the lobby to Dr. Hawary's office was. I have never experienced such a calm, tranquil lobby, not even my physicians office has that. I immediately felt a sigh of relief that I was headed in a step forward from my past.

I filed lout some paperwork and before I knew it I was taken back by one of the assistants for some x-rays. The assistant informed me that she was going to take a series of x-rays for Dr. Hawary to evaluate my teeth. She asked if I was having any problems in my mouth. I left her know that I was nervous and that I had negative childhood experience in my past. She left me know that today's visit is to get to know Dr. Hawary.

As she was taking the digital x-rays she spoke about Dr. Hawary's credentials. I REALLY appreciated her confidence in Dr. Hawary. She told me that he is accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and he is a fellow of General Dentistry.

After the digital x-rays she set up my room and asked me question about myself, she was very nice. She made me feel very comfortable. I really enjoyed her company before the doctor came in it really helped keep me calm.

Dr. Haway came in and said hello and we started my exam. Dr. Hawary left me know that he was going to review my xrays and then he was going to take some intra oral camera images. I took a deep breath and let Dr, Hawary know I was a lot nervous and he told me to relax and he would show me anything that needs to be addressed.

After the exam, I had a lot of things to thing about with my teeth. The treatment coordinator spoke with me and asked if I had any questions before she checked my insurance. I said no.

I really appreciated the conservative approach that Dr. Hawary takes with dentistry. I had a lot to think about and I was a little concerned if my insurance would help with the cost. The treatment coordinator came in and went over my options and what the insurance would cover. I was surprised on how much my insurance would help out. I have never experienced a dental office that was looking out for the patients best interest.

My overall experience was phenomenal. Dr. Hawary is patient and caring. You can tell that he listens to your concerns and his staff follows in his footsteps.

Dr. Hawary was my dentist for 2 or 3 years when I lived in southern CA a few years ago. I would trust him with my teeth in a heartbeat. He's the most professionally competent dentist I've ever had. At the time I had several 30 yr old silver fillings which he replaced with porcelain. They look and fit great. He spaced out the work to fit within my insurance coverage plan. Everything was covered, it was awesome. I was impressed with his expertise and passion in his work, as well as his state-of-the-art dental facility. I now live in Texas and have signed up with a new dentist. He's from Korea and you know how meticulous those guys are. Even though it's been 4 yrs since Dr. Hawary has worked on my teeth, my current dentist, after conducting a thorough examination, could not find even a single error to correct, or procedure that required attention, other than simple cleaning. The dentist was very impressed and asked who my former dentist was. I am planning a future visit to southern California. I was actually considering visiting Dr. Hawary again to have him check out my teeth but, of course, my current insurance would only cover my local dentists. I highly recommend Dr. Hawary to anyone who is serious about getting professional attention for his/her teeth.

Keep up the good work.. No words can describe how great this dentist is. He takes his time examining his patients to make sure that they are happy and satisfied with his service. Did I mention that He is truly an artist. The work he did on my teeth transformed my look. also, he does the dental cleaning himself. I have never been to a dentist office where the dentist does the cleaning. The office is VERY classy and nice. Are you looking for new Dentist? Are you tired with all the promises? Go to Dr. Hawary. He is not only the best DENTIST around, he is also an artist at his work. That's why he got all those Awards. When I first visited his clinic I was very impressed. Dr. Hawary is the best dentist I've ever been to. He did such a wonderful job on my teeth! I had my four front teeth veenered, and they look so beautiful! I smile again without fears. My best friend referred to Dr. Hawary. I went to him because he did A Wonderful job on my friend's teeth as well. Also, I have extreme anxiety whenever I go to the dentist, but not with Dr. Hawary. I know California Smile Design for long time. Dr. Hawary from California Smile Design does not only beautiful work, but he also makes sure you're comfortable with whatever procedure he intends to do. I have avoided going to the dentist for many years now because of the fear and anxiety I get from just thinking about a dental visit. I have been going to Dr. Hawary for the last 7 years and I could not have had better service. My prior dentist was not too bad but unfortunately did a poor job with my dental work. When I switched to Dr. Hawary I was quickly reassured that the damage done by my previous dentist could be repaired. I have had various dental problems but Dr. Hawary has done a fantastic job in taking care of them. When I go in the office, the welcome is immediate and consoling. He then explained every little detail to me. I didn't feel he had to tell me every detail but he wanted to be thorough and I appreciated that. There was always a question to see if I understood. Then he always gave me time to think about the choice of procedures. There were always choices, never rushing me into a procedure. He really cares. Bottom line is that Dr. Hawary saved some of my teeth which seemed on their way to ruin. There wasn't only quality work, but only concern and care. I haven't found these traits in other dentists. Laguna Hills, CA 5 star rating Updated - 6/4/2009 I once was a victim of domestic violence which left me with no self confidence and several broken and missing teeth. My neighbor had her teeth done at Dr. Hawary's office and they looked very nice... I needed to change the way I look, but since I didn't have the funds I couldn't do anything about it. I needed a miracle. My neighbor, bless her heart, spoke to Dr. Hawary about my situation, and I couldn't believe myself when she came one day and told me that he was very sympathetic and promised to help me. On the day for consultation, I was very nervous. I was ashamed and worried how to tell him that I am on a very, very limited budget. From the very beginning he made me feel so comfortable. He listened to me and was very assuring. Also, everybody in the office was very friendly and I never felt looked down at or anything like that.. :) Dr. Hawary thought of different ways to make my teeth look nice again, and as he promised, he did help me out tremendously with the fees. He even spoke to his lab people and explained my situation. They did not only agree to reduce their fees, but also made sure that my case gets special care and come out very nice. The day I received my new teeth, was a very emotional day for me. I couldn't stop crying. I look like a new person. My teeth are so nice, like my neighbor, even more. I have been a patient of Dr. Hawary for many years. On my first visit, they took the x-rays and he did a full exam. From the look on his face, I could tell that he did not like some of the work that was done in my mouth. He started explaining to me in simple terms the condition of my teeth, and I kept interrupting and wanting to know how come the work that I had just done at a different office was falling. Dr. Hawary repeatedly explained to me what was going on with different crowns & bridges I had, but he would not get himself to say anything negative or derogatory about my previous dentist. I felt that was very honorable of him. I have been to so many dentists, and each one portrayed the previous dentist as the worst one ever, and made himself look like the god of dentistry. Dr. Hawary would not engage himself in such childish games. I liked him for that, but to tell the truth I was not ready to re do the other work as he suggested. I did however do new stuff and was quite happy.

I was seen by Dr. Hawary and listened to his pro-active approach in dentistry. He left me with this question to decide about what I wanted to do with my teeth: treat them now as they show symptoms of potential problems, such as cracks and worn down, or wait until they actually break. He said that he would support my decision either way, but if it were his mouth, or his father's mouth, he would definitely be on the proactive side. Come to think about it, it does make more sense to do so. I know from experience that when I wait things get worse. Like that time I waited on a tooth, and instead of having a filling like the dentist recommended, I ended up having a root canal and a crown and a build up and god knows what. he's an A-M-A-Z-I-NG dentist. Definitely one of the best I've ever been to.

I went to California Smile Design because they took my insurance. I had bunch of old silver fillings that another dentist changed to white fillings and they started to hurt ever after. Dr. Hawary was the most thorough dentist I have ever met. He evaluated my whole mouth and showed me that those white fillings were too soft for me as I grind my teeth, and while other dentists suggested crowning those sensitive teeth, he suggested doing onlays which I know is a much more conservative approach than crowns. These onlays looked far better than I expected and the sensitivity has disappeared completely. Finally I can chew anything. By the way, the practice is state of the art, and the staff are top notch. Excellent excellent service. I am so glad that I switched to him.
