Implant placement A titanium-based implant is placed in the jawbone in relationship to the future restoration. The implant is allowed to heal within the bone for 3-6 months without any load on it. Typically, an interim restoration is worn by the patient during the healing time. Prosthetics Phase This final step involves the fabrication of the artificial crown that is securely anchored to the underlying implant.
